Call for experiment "dancetools"

11 December 2022

Are you visually impaired or blind?

Would you like to help me make a difference in movement and dance for the future?
Join us on February 11!
Individually, as a pair, or with a group.

I’m calling on individuals with visual impairments to help us test innovations together.

Dancer or not?
No difference!

First and foremost, I’ll present you with some scenarios related to movement and being blind.

When?
Starting at 11 AM on February 11, 2023

Where?
Koekelberg – VGC Comenius

More information coming soon, but if you’re interested, please send me an email at info@etagetropical.be

PS: Share this with everyone you know.

Kind regards,
Michèle

Image Description

Video 1: Roger dances basic bachata steps with Clara from the Brussels sports department. The experiment involves teaching dance steps using “the boards,” which is described in another article.

Video 2: Madina dances with Sam. They are dancing on the eve of the Dance Orientation Festival in Brussels. Even though Madina is blind, she moves her hips gracefully to the African music. Both Madina and Sam, the man she is dancing with, are of African descent and fully immersed in the music.
