Dance connects, inspires, and provides much-needed movement.
The Brussels DanceOrientation Festival is specifically designed for blind and visually impaired individuals. You can have an unforgettable inclusive experience here. Step into a world where dance knows no boundaries and where everyone is welcome to feel the rhythms and movements.
Professional dancers and instructors lead interactive workshops, focusing on tactile and auditory guidance.
You can also enjoy breathtaking performances: dancers with and without visual impairments shine together on stage. Meanwhile, you’ll meet new people and share your love for dance in a warm and welcoming environment.
During the after-party, you can practice your newfound skills.
The festival takes place on September 14, from 12 p.m. until the early hours. Location: VGC Comenius, Dapperenstraat 20, 1081 Koekelberg.
Organizer DanceOrientation vzw primarily focuses on Latin American dances, such as Cuban salsa, bachata, kizomba, and son, as well as African and Brazilian dances.
Georgia Venetakis is a big fan of this inclusive dance school. She notes that body posture, footwork, and styling require more individual explanation when you cannot observe others. She finds immense satisfaction in having fun with salsa dancing and continually improving her skills.
