Danceorientation Festival 2024
For the third year in a row, VZW Danceorientation is organizing a one-day Dance Festival on September 14th.
We are once again located in the beautiful multifunctional hall and open space of VGC Comenius in Koekelberg. It is a dance festival with numerous workshops throughout the day, culminating in a fun party with music by DJ Gozador, among others.
Inclusive dancing is central here. This means that everyone is warmly welcome. There are workshops for beginner dancers as well as for those with some experience.
VZW Danceorientation.eu focuses in the dance school and productions mainly on Latin American dances such as: Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Son, but also African and Brazilian dances.
Program:
12.00 - 13.00 Salsa initiation (beginners - everyone welcome)
13.00 - 14.00 Lunch (food, drinks, dance demonstrations - live music, percussion, djembe, etc.)
14.00 - 15.00 Salsa
15.00 - 16.00 Bachata
16.00 - 17.00 Quickstep
Break
18.00 - 19.00 Kizomba
19.00 - 2.00 Kizomba soirée
17.00 - 19.00 Social dancing - free dancing, new school year registrations, contact point for customized dance, dance demonstrations can be held outside in good weather with DJ Bernard Campbell (salsa, bachata, kizomba).
All workshops are "open level," meaning that the dance instructor adapts to the level of the dancers at that moment.
