Danceorientation Festival 14 September 2024
For the third year in a row, VZW Danceorientation is organizing a one-day Dance Festival on September 14.
Once again, we will be at the beautiful multipurpose hall and open space of VGC Comenius in Koekelberg. It is a dance festival with numerous workshops throughout the day, culminating in a fun party featuring music by DJ Gozador.
Inclusive dancing takes center stage here, meaning everyone is warmly welcome. There are workshops for beginner dancers as well as for those with some experience.
VZW Danceorientation.eu focuses primarily on Latin American dances in its dance school and productions, such as Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Son, as well as African and Brazilian dances.
Program:
12.00 - 13.00 Salsa initiation (beginners - everyone welcome)
13.00 - 14.00 Lunch (food, drinks, dance demonstrations - live music, percussion, djembe, etc.)
14.00 - 15.00 Salsa
15.00 - 16.00 Bachata
16.00 - 17.00 Quickstep
Break
18.00 - 19.00 Kizomba
19.00 - 2.00 Kizomba soirée
17.00 - 19.00 Social dancing - free dancing, registration for the new school year, personalized dance consultation, dance demonstrations which, weather permitting, can take place outdoors with DJ Bernard Campbell (salsa, bachata, kizomba).
All workshops are "open level," meaning the dance instructor adapts to the level of the dancers at that moment.
