DanceOrientation turns the Gentse Feesten 2025 into a place for every dancer.
An inclusive dance journey full of rhythm, warmth, and connection.
Like every year, we warmly invite you to a festive and accessible programme during the Gentse Feesten. With #danceisblind, we go all out to make these Gentse Feesten as socially accessible as possible. Thanks to the support of the City of Ghent, the Festivities Service, and Accessibility Ghent, we create a place where truly everyone feels welcome — no exceptions.
Here’s the programme:
Monday, 21 July – Dance for everyone
In the afternoon, we transform the big dance floor at Baudelopark into a space full of warmth and rhythm. During our accessible Bachata and Salsa workshops, we welcome everyone — including people with visual impairments, wheelchair users, and Deaf and hard of hearing people.
The dance floor is wheelchair accessible, there will be Flemish Sign Language interpreters, and we provide a mobile hearing loop.
Inclusion isn’t a bonus here, it’s the foundation of every dance step.
Wednesday, 23 July – Africa dances
From afternoon until late at night, we immerse you in an African party with, among others, Ginga, Kizomba for people with visual impairments, African dance, and Afro House. Full of passion, full of inclusion, full of life.
Thursday, 24 July | 16:00 – 16:45 – Music with heart and soul
On Sint-Baafsplein, artists with visual impairments deliver a powerful, moving, and proud performance. Music you’ll feel deep inside.
Thursday, 24 July | 19:00 – 20:00 – Salsa at sunset
A sultry workshop where everyone can let loose and enjoy. Moving feet, guaranteed smiles. Big dance floor Baudelohof.
Sunday, 27 July – Dance with the mayor
We close with style and warmth at the Bal 1900. A magical moment where we share the dance floor with the mayor of Ghent. Young or old, in costume or just yourself — here, it’s all about the festive spirit.

Together, we make sure the Gentse Feesten are open to everyone — regardless of disability, background, or experience.
